Grand Theft (Copper Wire)– No Suspect information

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Del Amo Metro Passenger Station regarding a grand theft call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the Metro Supervisor, who stated that unknown persons had stolen approximately 800 feet of copper wire. There was no suspect description. The supervisor estimated the cost of replacing the copper wire to be $20,000. The suspect is still outstanding.

August 11, 2025

Assault with a Deadly Weapon – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the El Monte Metro Bus Terminal regarding an assault with a deadly weapon call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted a male adult (victim) who stated that he boarded a Metro bus at 1st st. and Broadway in Downtown Los Angeles (LA) when an argument ensued between the victim and a male adult (suspect) on the bus. During the ride from Downtown LA to the El Monte terminal, the suspect punched the victim, and an assault occurred. The El Monte Police Department arrived at the scene before TSB deputies and detained the suspect. The suspect was arrested for the charges listed above. The victim was treated on scene by paramedics. The El Monte Police Department will handle the investigation.

Assault with a Deadly Weapon – Suspect Outstanding

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Valley Boulevard and Atlantic Boulevard regarding an assault with a deadly weapon, call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted a female adult (victim) who stated that she boarded a bus and was approached by a male adult (suspect), who started yelling at her for no apparent reason. The suspect then exited the bus and unprovokedly threw an aluminum can at the victim, striking the victim on the face, causing a minor laceration. The victim was transported to a local hospital to be treated for her injuries. TSB deputies searched the area, attempting to locate the suspect, but met with negative results. The suspect is still outstanding.

August 10, 2025

Trespassing – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Willobrook/Rosa Parks Metro Passenger Station regarding a trespassing call for service. Upon arrival, deputies detained an adult male (the suspect), who was walking along the train tracks, causing disruptions and delays in the train’s normal operations. The suspect was cited for trespassing charges; however, he remains in custody for a no-bail warrant. The suspect was booked for a no-bail warrant.

Assault with a Deadly Weapon – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Compton Metro Passenger Station, regarding an assault with a deadly weapon call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted two female adults (victims 1 & 2) who stated that a male adult (suspect) believed they were laughing and making fun of him. An argument ensued between the suspect and the victims. The suspect produced a knife and a taser, threatening to use them against the victims. Deputies arrived and were able to detain the suspect. The victims were not injured. The suspect was later arrested and booked on the above charges.

Grand Theft – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Slauson Metro Passenger Station for an unrelated call for service of a suspicious person. During the call, Deputies were “flagged down” by a female adult (victim) who stated her cell phone was stolen by a male adult (suspect) while on the Metro Train. The deputies detained the suspect pending investigation into a theft. The victim had another cell phone and used it to call the stolen phone. When the victim dialed the stolen phone, it rang and was recovered from the suspect. The victim positively identified the phone as hers. The suspect was arrested and booked for the indicated charge.

Assault with Tear Gas – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies located a wanted female, adult (suspect) involved in several assaults in the city of Pasadena. On July 28, 2025, at the Allen Metro Passenger Station, the suspect sprayed Tear Gas at a Metro passenger’s (victim) face, causing injury to the victim. A second incident occurred at South Pasadena Metro Passenger Station on July 30, 2025, where the suspect sprayed numerous Metro passengers (victims) in the facial area with Tear Gas, causing several injuries. Information was distributed to the TSB personnel about the suspect and the incident. On August 08, TSB deputies located and identified the suspect responsible for the above crimes. The suspect was arrested and booked for the above crimes.

August 07, 2025

Robbery – Suspect Outstanding

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Manchester Avenue and Market Street, in the city of Inglewood, regarding a robbery call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted a female adult (victim) who stated she was entering the bus when a male adult (suspect) dragged her down to the floor of the bus by her hair. Robbery – Suspect Outstanding

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Manchester Avenue and Market Street, in the city of Inglewood, regarding a robbery call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted a female adult (victim) who stated she was entering the bus when a male adult (suspect) dragged her down to the floor of the bus by her hair. The suspect then snatched a gold chain from her neck. The suspect then exited the bus and fled in an unknown direction. Assault with a Deadly Weapon – Suspect Outstanding

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to El Segundo Avenue and Hawthorne Boulevard in the city of Hawthorne, regarding an assault with a deadly weapon call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted a male adult (victim) who the Los Angeles County Fire was treating. The victim stated that while on the bus, he became involved in an argument with a male adult (Suspect). During the argument, the suspect punched the victim several times on the head and face. The victim fell back and struck his head. The suspect fled on a bicycle from the location and out of view. Responding deputies searched for the suspect but were unable to locate the suspect. The victim was transported to the local hospital for treatment and observation. The injuries did not appear to be life-threatening. The suspect is still outstanding.

Assault on Metro Personnel – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Atlantic Metro Passenger Station regarding an assault call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted Metro Employee (victim) who stated he received complaints from Metro patrons regarding a male adult (suspect) loitering in the elevator. The victim went to the elevator to ask the suspect to leave. The suspect lunged at the victim with a sharp object in a threatening manner. The responding deputies found the suspect in the vicinity and arrested him on the indicated charge. The suspect was found in possession of scissors. The victim was not injured.

Interrupting Rail Operations – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Downtown Santa Monica Metro Passenger Station regarding a delay in the Metro operation call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted Metro Security, who stated that a male adult (suspect) had climbed onto the roof of the Metro Train. This delayed normal train operations. The suspect was detained by Metro security and placed under arrest for the charges indicated.

August 05, 2025

Possible Sexual Assault – No suspect

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Redondo Beach Bus Transit Center regarding a possible sexual assault call for service. During an investigation conducted by the TSB Detective unit, it was determined that no sexual assault occurred.

Traffic Collision - Bus Vs. Pedestrian

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Somerset Boulevard and Illinois Avenue in the city of Paramount, regarding a traffic collision call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted Metro Bus Operator (party 2), who stated that while driving westbound on Somerset Boulevard, Party #1 struck a small tree (planted along the sidewalk) with the passenger side mirror, causing the mirror to shatter. A piece of the broken mirror struck a pedestrian (party 1) who was walking on the sidewalk. The party 1 sustained a small ¼” scratch to the top of her head and had some redness to the area. The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded and treated party #1 on scene. Lakewood Sheriff’s Station is conducting the traffic collision investigation.

Battery on Transit Operator – Suspect Outstanding

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Redondo Beach Bus Transit Center regarding an assault call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted Metro Bus Operator (victim), who stated that while he was at the Transit Center, he became involved in a verbal argument with a male adult (suspect), who was trying to board his bus. The bus operator pulled out his cellphone to call the police, at which time the suspect slapped the bus operator’s hand, causing his cellphone to fall to the ground. When the bus operator picked up his cellphone, the suspect punched him once in the face, and a physical altercation ensued. The suspect then boarded the bus, and the bus operator continued his bus route. The suspect exited the bus at 147th Street and Hawthorne Boulevard in Hawthorne and fled in an unknown direction.

The bus operator drove to Rosecrans Avenue and Hawthorne Boulevard, where he waited for deputies to arrive. The bus operator sustained a bloody lip during the fight but refused medical treatment. The suspect is still outstanding.

July 31, 2025

Robbery (Force Used) – Suspect Outstanding

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Willowbrook Metro Passenger Station regarding a robbery call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted a female adult (the victim) who stated that while she was on the platform waiting for the train to arrive, she was approached by another female adult (the suspect). The suspect sat next to the victim on the platform. When the train arrived, both the suspect and the victim stood up and began to board the train. Before the victim got onto the train car, the suspect approached the victim and, with both hands, snatched a yellow-colored chain from around the victim’s neck. There was a brief struggle during which the victim sustained a minor laceration to her neck. The suspect ran down the stairs towards the A-Line and out of view. The victim was treated by Los Angeles County Fire personnel for her injury but refused transportation to the hospital. Deputies searched the area for the suspect with negative results. There is no suspect info at this time. The suspect is still outstanding.

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Willowbrook Metro Passenger Station regarding a robbery call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted a female adult (victim) who stated while she was on the platform waiting for the train to arrive, she was approached by another female adult (suspect). The suspect sat next to the victim on the platform. When the train arrived both suspect and victim stood up and started to board the train. Before the victim got onto the train car the suspect approached the victim and with both hands snatched a yellow-colored chain from around the victim’s neck. There was a brief struggle during which the victim sustained a minor laceration to her neck. The suspect ran down the stairs towards the A-Line and out of view. Noteworthy Arrest – Willowbrook Metro Passenger Station

Transit Services Bureau (TSB), Special Assignment Unit (SAU) conducted a “Crime Suppression” Operation at the Willowbrook Metro Passenger Station. During the operation deputy personnel observed a male adult (suspect) spray painting on Metro property. The suspect was detained pending a vandalism investigation. A search of the suspect was conducted and deputies discovered the suspect was in possession of a dirk or dagger. The suspect was also in possession of a controlled substance for sales, possession of marijuana for sales and possession of a switchblade. The suspect was arrested and booked for the above charges.

July 29, 2025

Robbery (Knife Used) – Suspect Not in Custody

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Compton Metro Passenger Station regarding a robbery call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted a male adult (victim) who stated while the train was pulled into the station and stopped, a male adult (suspect) grabbed the victim’s bicycle from his grasp and exited the train. When the victim started to go after his bicycle the suspect produced a knife and told the victim “Don’t come near me!” The victim, in fear for his safety, did not chase the suspect. The suspect exited the platform in an unknown direction and out of view. The victim called law enforcement and waited for deputies to arrive. Deputy personnel searched the area but met with negative results. There is no suspect info at this time. The suspect is still outstanding.

Battery on Metro Security – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Santa Monica Metro Passenger Station regarding a battery call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted Metro Security Officers, who stated a male adult (suspect) who refused to exit the train and refused to re-tap to ride. The suspect ignored all requests made by security officers. When security attempted to escort the suspect off the train, the suspect attempted to bite two different security officers and slapped a third security officer. Metro Security was able to handcuff the suspect and waited for deputy personnel to arrive. Metro Security signed a “Private Persons Arrest” form. The suspect was arrested and booked for the above charges.

Sexual battery - Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies were conducting routine patrol checks of the El Monte Bus Terminal when they were flagged down by a female adult (victim) who stated as the bus was pulling into the terminal, the victim got up to exit the bus, a male adult (suspect) passenger got up to exit the bus as well. While exiting the bus the suspect grabbed the victim’s buttocks. The victim positively identified the suspect as the person who sexually assaulted her. The suspect was arrested and booked for the above charges.

Assault With a Deadly Weapon (Carving tool) – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Sierra Madre Metro Passenger Station regarding an assault with a deadly weapon call for service. Upon arrival, deputy personnel contacted a male adult (victim) who stated while he was on the platform, he got into a verbal argument with another male adult (suspect). The suspect produced a small carving tool and threatened the victim. The victim was not injured during the altercation. The suspect exited the platform and was detained by the Pasadena Police Department. The victim positively the suspect as the person who assaulted him. The suspect was arrested and booked for the above charges.

Trespassing on Metro Property – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Compton Metro Passenger Station regarding a disturbance call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted Metro security officer, who were already detaining a male adult (suspect) for trespassing. Metro security signed a “Private Person’s Arrest” form for the suspect. Additionally, the suspect was charged with violation of a parole warrant. The suspect was arrested and booked for the above charges.

July 25, 2025

Battery on Metro Security – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Marine Metro Passenger Station regarding a battery call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted Metro Security Officers, who stated a male adult (suspect) was asleep on the floor of a metro train when they made contact with the suspect. Metro security officers went to wake up the suspect and asked him to exit the train. As the suspect exited the train he pushed the security officer. The suspect was detained by Metro security officers and waited for deputy personnel to arrive. The suspect was arrested and booked for the above charge.

July 24, 2025

Robbery/Attempted Robbery – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Artesia Metro Passenger Station regarding a petty theft call for service. Upon arrival, deputies detained a female adult (suspect), who was identified by the victim as the person who took her personal belongings. Once ethe suspect was secured in the backseat of a patrol vehicle, deputies contacted the victim. The victim stated while she was parked at the Artesia Transit Center, she went to the restroom and upon her return to the vehicle she saw the suspect taking her personal belongings from the Torrance Transit bus. The victim told the suspect “Ma’am that’s mine, give them back.” The suspect in response raised a plastic cup and yelled “That’s my bag! Don’t you come over here! I’ll kill you! I’ll kill You!” Fearing for her safety, the operator entered the Torrance Transit bus and called 911 and waited for deputy personnel to arrive. The suspect was arrested and booked for the above charges. The victim was not injured during the incident and her belongings were recovered and returned to her.

Battery on Metro Security – Subject Cited

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Santa Monica Metro Passenger Station regarding a battery call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted Metro Security Officers, who were already detaining a female (subject). Metro Security Officers stated the subject had entered the terminal without paying fare. The Metro security officer attempted to block the subject from entering the platform by standing in her path. The subject then pushed the security officer to get around her. Metro security officers detained the subject and waited for the arrival of deputy personnel. During the investigation it was determined the subject was a minor. The subject was cited and released to her father.

Battery on Metro Security – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Santa Monica Metro Passenger Station regarding a battery call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted Metro Security Officers, who were already detaining a female adult (suspect). Metro Security Officers stated they contacted the suspect regarding fare inspection. The suspect headbutted and bit the security officers. Metro security was able to safely handcuff the suspect to the platform guard rails as they waited for deputy personnel to arrive. The suspected was arrested and booked for the above charges.

Attempted Robbery (Strong arm) – Suspect Not in Custody

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the area of Artesia Boulevard and Hawthorne Boulevard, in the city of Hawthorne regarding an attempted robbery call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted a male adult (victim) who stated while the was sitting on the bus a male adult (suspect) approached him and attempted to forcefully take his cell from his hands. The victim stated he was able to maintain control of his cell phone and the suspect let go. The suspect then exited the bus at Artesia Boulevard and fled in an unknown direction. here is no suspect info at this time. The suspect is still outstanding.

Assault with a Deadly Weapon (Knife used) - Suspect Not in Custody

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Willowbrook Metro Passenger Station regarding an assault with a deadly weapon (knife) call for service. While deputies were responding to the location, the male adult (victim) was transported to a local hospital for his injuries. Deputies contacted the victim at the hospital. The victim stated while he was waiting for the train at the bus bay downstairs, a male adult (suspect) approached him and began to make small talk and told him he had a buyer for the victim’s laptop. A short time later, the victim proceeded to go upstairs to catch the train. The suspect followed him. The suspect then demanded the victim’s laptop. When the victim refused to give up his laptop the suspect stabbed him several times. The victim ran downstairs, and the suspect fled the location running northbound on Wilmington and out of view. There is no suspect info at this time. The suspect is still outstanding.

Battery on Metro Security – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Compton Metro Passenger Station regarding a battery call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted Metro Security Officers, who were already detaining a male adult (suspect). Metro Security Officers stated the suspect had entered the terminal without paying fare, refused to leave and subsequently pushed three Metro Security Officers. The suspect was detained by security awaiting the arrival of deputy personnel. The suspected was arrested and booked for the above charges.

Attempted Robbery (Knife used) - Suspect Not in Custody

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Del Mar Metro Passenger Station regarding a robbery just occurred call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted a male adult (victim) who stated while exiting the train at the Del Mar Station, he was approached by a male adult (suspect) who demanded a dollar from him. When the victim refused the suspect removed a small pocketknife from his person and held it against the victim’s stomach. The victim, fearing he was going to get stabbed, grabbed the knife and attempted to take it away from the suspect. During the struggle the victim sustained a laceration to his right ring finger. The suspect fled on foot from the location in an unknown direction. Los Angeles County Fire responded to the location and transported the victim to a local hospital for medical treatment. There is no suspect info at this time. The suspect is still outstanding.

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Florence Metro Passenger Station, Los Angeles regarding a grand theft call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the Metro Supervisor, who stated that an unknown person had taken 140 feet of exposed copper wire. The supervisor stated it would cost $10,000 to replace and repair the copper wire. No suspect information is available at this time.

July 21, 2025

Noteworthy Arrest – Attempt Murder Suspect

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies were conducting routine patrol checks at the Veterans/Memorial Metro Passenger Station. They observed a male adult (suspect) matching the description of an individual identified in a recent attempted murder bulletin. The suspect was contacted and taken into custody without incident. The suspect was transported and booked for the above charge.

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the area of Florence Avenue and Prairie Avenue, in the city of Inglewood regarding a grand theft call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the Metro Supervisor, who stated that an unknown person had taken 60 feet of exposed copper wire. The supervisor stated it would cost $3,000 to replace and repair the copper wire. No suspect information is available at this time.

July 19, 2025

Attempted Robbery – Subject Detained

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Slauson Metro Passenger Station regarding a person with a knife call for service. Upon arrival, deputy personnel searched the location but were unable to locate anyone matching the description in the call. While on the platform, deputies were approached by a male adult (victim) who stated someone on the train attempted to rob him, unrelated to the initial call for service. The victim told deputies while he was on the train from the Long Beach Metro Passenger station, a male juvenile (subject) approached him and demanded “give me everything you have.” The subject had his hands in his jacket pocket and simulated having a weapon. The victim told the subject he recognized him and began to record the subject with his cellular phone. The subject then boarded a train and waited for it to depart as deputies arrived. The subject was detained for attempted robbery.

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the area of Graham Avenue and Nadeau Street, Los Angeles regarding a grand theft call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the Metro Supervisor, who stated that an unknown person had taken 66 feet of exposed copper wire. The supervisor stated it would cost $30,000 to replace and repair the copper wire. No suspect information is available at this time.

July 18, 2025

Sexual Battery – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Compton Metro Passenger Station regarding a sexual battery call for service. Upon arrival, Metro Security Officers were detaining a male adult (suspect) for sexual battery of a female adult (victim) on the platform. The victim stated while she was on the platform waiting for the arrival of the train, the suspect approached her. The suspect without provocation slapped and grabbed the victim’s buttocks. The suspect was arrested and booked for the above charges.

Battery on Metro Security – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Norwalk Metro Passenger Station regarding a battery call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted Metro Security Officers, who were already detaining a male adult (suspect). Metro Security Officers stated the suspect was asked to leave the platform due to the suspect having an open alcoholic beverage. The suspect refused and remained on the platform. After several minutes the suspect became upset, grabbed a juice box and threw it at the security officer striking him. The suspect was detained by security awaiting the arrival of deputy personnel. The suspected was arrested and booked for the above charges.

Robbery/Attempted Robbery – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Long Beach Metro Passenger Station regarding a robbery occurring now call for service. Upon arrival, deputies detained a female adult (suspect), who was identified by witnesses as the perpetrator. During the investigation deputies determined the suspect had forcefully taken a cell phone from a female adult (victim 1) while they were on the C-Line train. Victim 1 was able to regain possession of her cell phone, and the suspect fled the platform onto the street level. While on street level, the suspect attempted to forcefully take another cell phone from another female adult (Victim 2) on Long Beach Boulevard. Victim 2 was able to maintain control of her cell phone. Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the location and treated both victims at the location. The suspect was arrested and booked for the above charges.

Grand Theft Person – Suspect Outstanding

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the El Monte Bus Terminal regarding a grand theft person call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted a male adult (victim) who stated while he was waiting for the bus at bay 18, a male adult (suspect) approached him and grabbed his pink/grey backpack that was laying on the ground next to him. The suspect then ran westbound through the terminal and out of view. Deputies canvassed the area for the suspect but met with negative results. There is no suspect info at this time. The suspect is still outstanding.

Trespassing on Railroad Property – Suspect Cited/Released

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Memorial Metro Passenger Station, regarding a person trespassing on the railroad tracks call for service. The male adult (suspect) was seen on Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) in a manhole prior to the deputy’s arrival. Upon arrival, deputies contacted a Metro Supervisor and determined there was no evidence of copper theft. The suspect was detained and cited for trespassing on railroad property in a manner that interrupted/hindered the trains from operating in a safe and efficient manner.

Grand Theft (Copper Wire) – No Suspect information

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the area of Florence Avenue and Nadeau Street, Los Angeles regarding a grand theft call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the Metro Supervisor, who stated that an unknown person had taken 103 feet of exposed copper wire. The supervisor stated it would cost $5,000 to replace and repair the copper wire. No suspect information is available at this time.

Sexual Battery – Suspect Outstanding

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the 300 block of Arizona Avenue, in the city of Santa Monica, regarding a sexual battery report call for service. Upon arrival deputies contacted a female adult (victim) who stated while she was riding the bus, a male adult (suspect) sat down next to her. The victim saw the suspect masturbating and rubbing his erect penis against her thigh. The victim quickly got up and moved to another seat. The victim stated the suspect watched her as she moved her seat and continued to masturbate. At the next stop, the victim quickly exited the bus. The suspect remained on the bus. There is no suspect info at this time. The suspect is still outstanding.

Assault with a Deadly Weapon (knife) – Suspect Outstanding

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the area of Compton Avenue and Florence Avenue, Los Angeles regarding an assault with a deadly weapon (knife) call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted a male adult (victim) who stated while he was riding the bus he got into a verbal argument with a male (suspect) in the rear of the bus. When the bus operator stopped the bus, the victim approached the operator and asked her to call law enforcement due to the victim being stabbed. The suspect exited the bus and ran eastbound on Florence Avenue and out of view. The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the location and transported the victim to a local hospital for further medical treatment. The is no suspect info at this time. The suspect is still outstanding.

Noteworthy Arrest – Indecent Exposure / Annoying Minor

Transit Services Bureau’s (TSB) Special Assignment Unit (SAU)- North, conducted an arrest warrant service operation. They located a suspect who was wanted for annoying a minor and indecent exposure that occurred on May 20^th, 2025 at the Lake Metro Passenger Station. The suspected was arrested and booked for the above charges.

Assault with a Deadly Weapon (Unknown Sharp Object) – Suspect Outstanding

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the area of Bellgrave Avenue and Pacific Avenue, Huntington Park regarding and assault with a deadly weapon call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted a female adult (victim) who stated while she was riding the bus a male adult (suspect) hit her on the head with an unknown sharp object. The victim did not see the object but felt something sharp hit her on the head which caused a small superficial wound. The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the location and treated the victim for her injury. The victim refused transportation to a local hospital. The suspect exited the bus and left in an unknown direction. Deputy personnel canvased the location for the suspect, but met with negative results. The is no suspect info at this time. The suspect is still outstanding.

Grand Theft (Phone Snatch) – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the area of Swall Drive and Wilshire Boulevard, in the city of Beverly Hills regarding a grand theft call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted a female adult (victim) who stated while she was riding on the Metro Bus a female adult (suspect) snatch her phone from her hand and fled off the bus in an unknown direction. The Beverly Hills Police Department responded and detained the suspect nearby. The victim positively identified the suspect as the person who snatched her phone. The cell phone was recovered from the suspect and returned to the victim. The suspect was arrested and booked for the above charge.

Delaying Metro Rail Operations – Suspected Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Sierra Madre Metro passenger Station regarding a disturbance on the train. Upon arrival Deputies contacted s female adult (victim) who stated she told a male adult (suspect) to not smoke on the train. The suspect became upset and began yelling at the victim. The suspect left the location on a scooter. A description of the suspect was relayed to the Pasadena Police Department who detained the suspect nearby. The victim was not desirous of prosecution, however due to the suspect actions the Metro Operations were delayed. The suspect was arrested and booked for the delaying Metro Rail Operations.

July 11, 2025

Narcan Deployment – Patient Transported to Hospital

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Wilmington Metro Passenger Station regarding a female adult (patient) acting erratically. Deputies administered one dose of Narcan to assist the patient. Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the location and transported the female to a local hospital for further medical treatment.

Grand Theft (Copper Wire) – No Suspect information

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the area of Graham Avenue and Nadeau Street, Los Angeles regarding a grand theft call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the Metro Supervisor, who stated that an unknown person had taken 14 feet of exposed copper wire. The supervisor stated it would cost $1,000 to replace and repair the copper wire. No suspect information is available at this time.

Attempted Grand Theft (Copper Wire) – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Detectives conducted an operation on the Metro A-Line between 2100 hours – 0500 Hours focusing on the area of the Florence Metro Passenger Station and the Firestone Metro Passenger Station in Los Angeles. At 0350 hours a male adult was arrested on the tracks and booked for copper theft and possession of burglary tools.

July 10, 2025

Battery on Police Officer (Hands & Feet) – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Santa Monica Metro Passenger Station regarding the end of line train sweeps call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted a male adult (suspect), who was asleep on one of the trains. The suspect suddenly and without warning punched the Deputy (victim) in the face. Deputies used personal weapons and control holds to secure the suspect and placed him in handcuffs. Deputy personnel transported the suspect to a local hospital for further treatment. The suspect was arrested and booked for the above charge. The Deputy had pain in the face area and was treated at Urgent Care for the injury.

Assault (GBI – Hands & Feet) – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Fillmore Metro Passenger station regarding an assault call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted a several witnesses who told Deputies a male adult (suspect) and a female adult were arguing on the platform. Another male adult (victim) intervened in an attempt to deescalate the incident. The suspect punched the victim in the head multiple times. The victim fell to the ground unconscious. Pasadena Fire Department responded to the location and transported the victim to a nearby hospital to be treated for his injuries. The suspect was later detained by the Pasadena Police Department. Deputy personnel responded to their location took custody of the suspect. The suspect was arrested and booked the above charge.

Grand Theft (Copper Wire) – No Suspect information

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Florence Metro Passenger station, Los Angeles regarding a grand theft call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the Metro Supervisor, who stated that an unknown person had taken 140 feet of copper wire approximately 1056 feet north of Nadeau Street. The supervisor stated it would cost $10,000 to replace and repair the copper wire. No suspect information is available at this time.

Vandalism (Felony) – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to La Brea Avenue & Kelso Street, in the city of Inglewood regarding a vandalism just occurred, call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the bus operator (witness), who stated an adult male (suspect) became was arguing with the operator and became angry. The suspect pounded on the driver’s side window causing it to shatter. The suspect was detained at the location. The operator positively identified the suspect as the person who vandalized the bus. The suspect was arrested and booked for the above charge. The Metro supervisor was unable to provide an estimate to repair/replace the window at this time.

July 8, 2025

Assault with a Deadly Weapon (knife) – Suspect Outstanding

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to a local hospital in West Los Angels regarding an assault with a deadly weapon (knife) call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted a male adult (victim) who stated while he was sitting on a bench at the Culver City Metro Passenger station. Another male adult (suspect) was seated next to him. When the victim stood up the suspect without warning stabbed him with a six-inch pocketknife three times. The victim stated there was a brief struggle during which time the victim threw the suspect’s backpack and cell phone onto the tracks. The suspect fled the area on an eastbound train. The victim walked to the hospital for medical treatment for non-life-threatening injuries. The is no suspect info at this time. The suspect is still outstanding.

Strong Arm Robbery – Suspect Not in Custody

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Crenshaw Metro Passenger station regarding a robbery just occurred call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted a female adult (victim), who stated while she was inside the bus a male adult (suspect) approached her from behind and forcibly grabbed her cell phone from her hand. The victim followed the suspect onto the train and ultimately was able to retrieve her phone. Once the train stopped at the Willowbrook Metro Passenger station, the victim exited the train and began to walk towards Willowbrook Avenue. The victim then felt the suspect push her from behind, causing her to almost fall. The suspect then ran towards Wilmington Avenue and out of view. The victim refused any medical treatment. The suspect is still outstanding. No suspect information is available at this time.

Attempted Grand Theft (Copper Wire) – Suspect arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Firestone Metro Passenger Station regarding a possible grand theft call for service. TSB Crime analyst was conducting video surveillance and observed a male adult (suspect) on camera break the concrete at the location to access copper wire from the track. Upon arrival, Deputies detained the suspect. The suspect made incriminating statements to the deputies. The suspect was arrested and booked for the above charge.

July 7, 2025

Battery on Metro Employee – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB ) Deputies responded to the Santa Monica Metro Passenger Station regarding a battery call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted Metro Security Officers, who were already detaining a male adult (suspect). Metro Security Officers stated the suspect was told he had to pay to enter the station or leave. The suspect then spat on the victim’s face. Deputies were able to arrest the suspect for the above charges.

July 6, 2025

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the area of 92nd Street & Graham Avenue, Los Angeles regarding a grand theft call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the Metro Supervisor, who stated that an unknown person had taken 101 feet of copper wire between 92nd Street & Graham Avenue. The supervisor stated it would cost $7050 to replace and repair the copper wire. No suspect information is available at this time.

Assault with a Deadly Weapon (Knife) – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the area of La Pier Drive & Wilshire Boulevard, Beverly Hills regarding an assault with a deadly weapon (knife) call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted a male adult (victim) who stated while on the bus a male adult (suspect) walked past him and brushed his arm along the victim’s arm. The suspect without provocation produced a knife and held it in his right hand. The suspect while holding the knife in his hand slapped the victim 5 times in the face. The suspect exited the bus and was detained approximately 2 blocks away at Maple Avenue & Wilshire Boulevard by Beverly Hills Police Department. The victim did not sustain any injuries and refused medical treatment. The victim positively identified the suspect as the person who assaulted him. The suspect was transported and booked for the above charge.

July 4, 2025

Battery on Police Officer (Hands & Feet) – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Santa Monica Metro Passenger Station regarding the end of line train sweeps call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted a male adult (suspect), who was asleep on one of the trains. After Deputies woke up the suspect, he initially walked out of the train but attempted to re-board the train. Deputy personnel then attempted to escort the suspect off the platform at which time the suspect attempted to strangle one of the Deputies (victim). Deputies conducted a takedown and used control holds to bring the suspect down to the ground. Santa Monica Police Department personnel responded to the location and assisted in handcuffing the suspect without further incident. Santa Monica Fire responded to the location and treated the suspect. Deputy personnel transported the suspect to a local hospital for further treatment. The suspect was arrested and booked for the above charge.

July 3, 2025

Assault with a Deadly Weapon (Wooden 2 x 4) – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Slauson Metro Passenger Station regarding a male hitting another male with a “2 x 4” call for service. Upon arrival, Deputy personnel saw a male adult (suspect) standing at the end of the platform. Deputies made verbal commands to the suspect, and the suspect began to walk away from the Deputies. Deputy personnel pursued the suspect until he hid underneath the stairs of the platform. The suspect attempted to kick and punch in the direction of the Deputies. The taser was employed and the suspect was placed into custody without further incident. Los Angeles County Fire responded to the location and transported the suspect to a local hospital for further medical treatment. The victim was located at a nearby convenience store and was treated for his injuries. The suspect was arrested and booked for the above charge.

Strong Arm Robbery – Suspect Not in Custody

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to 60^th Street and Central Avenue regarding a robbery just occurred call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted a female adult (victim), who stated while she was inside the bus a male adult (suspect) approached her and forcibly grabbed her yellow necklace from her neck. The suspect ran off the bus and was last seen running northbound on Central Avenue and out of view. The victim stated the necklace was worth approximately $5000. The victim suffered an approximate 5-inch laceration around her neck. The victim refused medical attention. No suspect information is available at this time.

Grand Theft (Copper Wire) – No Suspect information

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Florence Metro Passenger Station regarding a grand theft call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the Metro Supervisor, who stated that an unknown person had taken 24 feet of copper wire. There was no description of a suspect. The supervisor estimated the cost to replace and repair the copper wire to $4900. No suspect information is available at this time.

Vandalism – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Alpine Avenue and Sunset Boulevard in the city of Beverly Hills regarding a vandalism just occurred, call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the bus operator (witness), who stated an adult male (suspect) became upset because the bus operator was stopping at every red light and he was in a rush to go somewhere. The suspect approached the front of the bus and struck the operator’s bus barrier door with a folded metal pocketknife, causing it to shatter. A Metro Supervisor estimated the cost to repair and replace the shattered door to be $970. The suspect was arrested and booked by TSB Deputies for the above charge.

Robbery – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Willowbrook Metro Passenger Bus Station regarding a robbery call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted a female adult (victim), who stated she was in the turnaround waiting for the bus when a male adult (suspect), approached the victim and pulled her to the ground. While the victim was on the ground, the suspect kicked her and took her belongings from her person. A bystander witnessed the robbery and held the suspect to prevent him from leaving the location. TSB Deputies responded to the location and arrested the suspect for the above charge. Los Angeles County Fire paramedics responded to the location and medically treated the victim. The victim refused to be transported to the hospital. The victim was later transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the area of 92^nd Street and Graham Avenue, Los Angeles regarding a grand theft call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the Metro Track Inspector, who stated that an unknown person had taken 150 feet of copper wire between 92^nd Street & Graham Avenue. There was no description of a suspect. The track inspector estimated the cost to repair and replace the copper wire to be $7800. No suspect information is available at this time.

Grand Theft Person (Cell Phone) – Suspect Not in Custody

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Long Beach Metro Passenger Station regarding a petty theft call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the victim, who stated while she was standing on the platform, male black adult (suspect) grabbed her cellphone from the victim’s hand. The suspect fled on foot down the stairs at Long Beach Pax towards the street level. The suspect was last seen on foot southbound on Long Beach Boulevard and out of view.

Battery on Metro Security – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB ) Deputies responded to the Memorial Park Metro Passenger Station regarding a battery call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted Metro Security Officers, who were already detaining a male adult (suspect). Metro Security Officers stated the suspect was harassing passengers and acting erratically. The suspect made verbal threats towards two patrons and spat on one Metro Security Officer. Deputies were able to arrest the suspect for the above charges.

Robbery against Metro Supervisor – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Firestone Metro Passenger Station regarding a robbery call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the Metro Supervisor (victim), who stated he was taking photographs near the location when a male adult (suspect) walked by and grabbed the phone from the victim’s hand. The victim chased the suspect, at which time the suspect threw the phone to the ground and continued running westbound. The suspect was seen on CCTV exiting the train at Slauson Metro Passenger station. Deputies responded to the location and detained the suspect. The suspect was arrested and booked for the above charge.

Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the Metro Supervisor, who stated that an unknown person had taken 120 feet of copper wire between Nadeau Street & Grand Avenue. There was no description of a suspect. Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Wardlow Metro Passenger station regarding an assault call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted a male adult (victim) who told them he boarded a train at Willowbrook Metro Passenger station; while riding the train, he got into an argument with another male adult (suspect), which became physical. Deputies arrived and detained the suspect. Long Beach Fire responded to the location and transported the victim to a local hospital. The suspect was arrested and booked.

Traffic Collision

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Crenshaw Boulevard & Manchester Avenue in the city of Inglewood regarding a traffic collision call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the Metro Supervisor, who stated a Metro bus and a passenger vehicle had collided in the intersection. Two Metro bus patrons had complaints of pain. An occupant of the passenger vehicle also had complaints of pain. LA County Fire responded to the location to treat the patients. Three patients were transported to local hospitals for further treatment. Inglewood Police Department arrived on the scene and assumed command of the investigation.

Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the Metro Supervisor, who stated that an unknown person had taken 115 feet of copper wire. There was no description of a suspect. Arson - Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Memorial Metro Passenger Station regarding Metro Security detaining an arson suspect. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted Metro Security personnel, who stated the suspect had set fire to a trashcan on the platform. Pasadena Fire responded to the location and contained the fire. There were no damages to the platform or other Metro-owned property. The suspect was arrested.

Assault with a Deadly Weapon (knife) – Suspect Outstanding

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Crenshaw Boulevard & Imperial Highway in the city of Inglewood regarding an assault with a deadly weapon call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted a male adult (victim) who told them he was on the bus and got into an argument with a male adult (suspect). Both parties exited the bus, at which time the suspect started following the victim. The victim asked the suspect to leave him alone. The suspect produced a knife and placed it near the victim’s stomach. The suspect was last seen running north on Crenshaw Boulevard and out of view. The suspect is still outstanding at this time.

Fatal Traffic Collision

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Caesar Chavez Boulevard and Eastern Avenue in the city of East Los Angeles regarding a traffic collision call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the Metro Supervisor, who stated a motorcyclist had collided with a passenger vehicle at the intersection and veered into a Metro bus parked at the location. MTA bus patrons reported no injuries. LA County Fire responded and pronounced the motorcyclist deceased. CHP arrived on the scene and took command.

Grand Theft (Copper Wire) – No Suspect information

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Florence Metro Passenger Station regarding a grand theft call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the Metro Supervisor, who stated that an unknown person had taken 20 feet of copper wire. There was no description of a suspect. The supervisor estimated the cost of replacing the copper wire to be $1,500. No suspect information is available at this time.

Grand Theft (Copper Wire) – No Suspect information

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Florence Metro Passenger Station regarding a grand theft call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the Metro Supervisor, who stated that between June 15, 2025, and June 20, 2025, an unknown person had taken 104 feet of copper wire. There was no description of a suspect. The supervisor estimated the cost of replacing the copper wire to be $7,000. No suspect information is available at this time.

Possession of Imitation Firearm on Transit System – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Willowbrook Metro Passenger Station regarding a male possessing an imitation firearm call for service. Assisting Sheriff’s Station advised TSB’s desk of a male adult (suspect) pushing a stroller northbound on Wilmington Avenue while carrying a handgun in the Kenneth Hahn Plaza just south of Willowbrook A-Line Passenger Station. TSB deputies responded and located the suspect, who matched the description of the suspect on the Willowbrook C-Line platform. The suspect was taken into custody without incident. Deputies discovered the male had an imitation firearm (BB gun). Suspect arrested.

Person Deceased

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Firestone Metro Passenger Station elevator regarding an unresponsive person call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies found an unresponsive adult male, not breathing inside of the elevator. Los Angeles County Paramedics and Fire arrived and pronounced the male deceased. There was no evidence of foul play at the location. It is unknown if the male was unhoused. LASD Homicide Bureau was notified of the incident. The Los Angeles County Coroner responded and took over the scene.

Possession of Imitation Firearm on Transit System – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Willowbrook Metro Passenger Station regarding a male possessing an imitation firearm call for service. Assisting Sheriff’s Station advised TSB’s desk of a male adult (suspect) pushing a stroller northbound on Wilmington Avenue while carrying a handgun in the Kenneth Hahn Plaza just south of Willowbrook A-Line Passenger Station. TSB deputies responded and located the suspect, who matched the description of the suspect on the Willowbrook C-Line platform. The suspect was taken into custody without incident. Unattended Package – Area Clear

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Memorial Metro Passenger Station regarding an unattended package call for service. Upon arrival, the TSB desk updated that the device was on the tracks with wires exposed. Deputies were able to lock down the area and stop all train service through it. TSB K-9 units, TSB Special Assignment Units (SAU), and Arson Explosives responded. Responding units were able to clear the area with problems and resume normal train activity.

Suspicious Circumstances / Possible Battery – Suspect/Victim

Transit Services Bureau Deputies responded to Main Street and Chapel Avenue in the city of Alhambra regarding a bus operator who had been assaulted call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted a female adult (S/V 1) who stated that while traveling on the Metro Bus, she became involved in an argument with the bus operator (S/V 2). S/V1 stated the bus operator proceeded to stop the bus, exit the barricaded seated area, open the bus doors, and push her from the front upper torso with his hands onto the sidewalk, causing her to fall to the ground. The female said the bus continued in service and that she was not desirous of prosecution. SV/2 stated that SV/1 began arguing with him and creating a disturbance as he was driving the bus. SV/2 said he proceeded to stop the bus and pushed SV/1 off the bus to continue operating the bus without being distracted. Alhambra Fire Department personnel responded to the location; however, neither SV/1 nor SV/2 had any visible injuries, nor did they complain of any pain, and both refused medical treatment. Based on the above, a Suspicious Circumstances / Possible Battery report will be authored, and a bus video was requested.

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Florence Metro Passenger Station regarding a grand theft call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the Metro Supervisor, who stated that an unknown person had taken 100 feet of copper wire between Gage Avenue and Florence Avenue. There was no description of a suspect. The supervisor estimated the cost of replacing the copper wire to be $5,000. No suspect information is available at this time.

June 16, 2025

Battery on Transit Personnel – Suspect Cited and Released

Transit Services Bureau (TSB ) Deputies responded to Downtown Santa Monica Metro Passenger Station regarding a battery call for service. Upon arrival of Deputies, Metro Security Officers were already detaining a person. Deputies contacted Metro Security Officers, who stated a male adult (suspect) entered the emergency exit gates and grabbed the security officer’s wrist. Deputies were able to arrest the suspect and cited and released him for the above change.

Person Deceased

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Florence Metro Passenger Station regarding a train vs pedestrian call for service. Preliminary information indicates the adult male was on the platform when the train approached; he fell in between where the coupling connected the two trains and was subsequently struck by the train. Transit Service Personnel and Century Sheriff’s Station personnel arrived on the scene and handled the call to completion.

June 15, 2025

Assault with a Deadly Weapon (knife) – Suspect Outstanding

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Atlantic Boulevard & Whittler Boulevard, in the city of East Los Angeles, regarding an assault with a deadly weapon call for service. Upon arrival, deputies contacted a male adult (victim) who told them he was on the bus when a male adult (suspect) attacked him. The suspect punched the victim and then pulled out a knife and cut him on the head, twice on the left side of the head and once to the left cheek. The suspect was last seen riding his bicycle westbound on Whittler Boulevard and out of view. The victim was transported to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect is still outstanding at this time.

Traffic Collision – Single Vehicle Accident

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to El Monte Metro Passenger Bus Terminal regarding a traffic collision. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted an adult male (party 1), who stated that while driving through the roundabout, he accidentally pressed the gas instead of the brakes and crashed into the Bicycle Hub at the location. The vehicle ended up inside the bicycle hub. There were no injuries to the driver or any pedestrians.

Battery/Attempt Robbery against contact security – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Arcadia Metro Passenger Station regarding a battery call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the Metro Contracted Security Officer (Victim), who stated he was approached by a male adult (suspect) on the platform and, without any provocation, grabbed the victim in a bear hug and placed him on the ground. Once the victim was on the ground, the suspect unbuckled the victim’s gun belt and attempted to remove the victim’s gun from the holster. Fearing the suspect would remove the firearm from the victim, the victim’s partner (Metro Contract Security Officer) pepper sprayed the suspect in the face. The pepper spray disoriented the suspect, and he left the location. Responding deputies located the suspect and arrested him for the above charges. The victim was not injured.

June 13, 2025

Battery on Transit Patron (Pepper Spray) – Suspect Outstanding

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Wilmington Avenue and Walnut Street in the city of Compton regarding a battery call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted a female adult (victim) who stated that a female adult (suspect) (approached her) and accused her of taking inappropriate pictures. The suspect then punched the victim in her face approximately 3-4 times. The suspect then pulled out pepper spray and sprayed the victim then exited the bus and walked westbound on Walnut Street from Wilmington Avenue and out of view. The victim suffered a bloody nose and redness to her face. The victim refused to be evaluated by the Compton Fire Department. The suspect is still outstanding.

Assault with a Deadly Weapon (Knife) – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to the Del Mar Metro Passenger Station regarding two males fighting call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted a male adult (victim) who stated while on the train, a male adult (suspect) kept accusing him of stealing his phone. The suspect and victim became involved in a verbal altercation while on the train, at which time became physical. The fight continued off the train and onto the platform. The suspect produced a box cutter knife and began slashing at the victim. The suspect and victim continued fighting and ultimately ended up on the tracks. The victim was able to take the box cutter knife away from the suspect. The suspect attempted to leave the location but was located and detained. The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries to his arms and face but refused to be transported to the hospital. The suspect was arrested.

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Santa Fe Ave, in the city of Vernon, regarding an assault with a deadly weapon call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted a female adult (victim), who said she was on a Metro bus when she became involved in an argument with a male adult (suspect). The suspect punched the victim several times. During the assault, the suspect produced a pocketknife and swung at the victim. The victim was able to avoid being injured by the knife. The suspect fled from the bus on foot. The Vernon Fire Department responded and treated the victim for bruising on her face and arms. A search for the suspect met with negative results. The suspect is still outstanding.

Upon arrival, Deputies contacted a female adult (victim), who said she was standing on the platform when a male adult (suspect) walked up from behind and began to punch her numerous times over her head and upper torso. The suspect then attempted to leave the location, however, was located nearby, positively identified by a witness, and arrested.

The suspect told the victim to stop staring at his girlfriend and began to argue with the victim. The suspect produced a knife from his person and told the victim he was going to “slice” his face. The victim ran away from the suspect. The suspect then left the location, and out of view. The suspect is still outstanding.

Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the Metro Supervisor, who stated that within the last two weeks, a person unknown took 55 feet of copper wire. There was no description of a suspect. The supervisor estimated the cost of replacing the copper wire to be $5,300. No Suspect Information.

June 10, 2025

Assault with a Deadly Weapon – Suspect Arrested

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to 4th St/Downtown Santa Monica Metro Passenger Station regarding an assault with a deadly weapon call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted Metro security officers (3 victims), who stated a male adult (suspect) entered the platform skateboarding with no shirt on. Contracted security contacted the suspect and informed him to put on a shirt and stop skateboarding, which the suspect ignored. As contract security attempted to contact the suspect a second time, the suspect turned towards the victims when they approached him and produced a knife from his person and made assaultive gestures with the knife towards the victims.

The victims were able to secure the suspect in handcuffs and remove the knife from his person. As the victims were escorting the suspect towards the entrance of the platform, he was able to kick two of the victims in the body and face. The victims were able to secure the suspect on the ground and keep him from further assaulting them. Deputies arrived and arrested the suspect for assault with a deadly weapon. The victims were not injured because of the assault.

Grand Theft (Copper Wire) – No Suspect information

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to 92nd St and Graham Ave in the city of Los Angeles regarding a grand theft call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the Metro Supervisor, who stated that within the last two weeks, a person unknown had taken approximately 90 feet of copper wire. There was no description of a suspect. The supervisor estimated the cost of replacing the copper wire to be $5,000. No suspect information.

Suspicious Package – No Threat

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Sierra Madre Metro Passenger Station regarding a suspicious package call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted the TSB Desk and halted all incoming traffic to the station. All proximity areas were evacuated and secured.

TSB Deputies, SAU Deputies, and the TSB K-9 Unit conducted a thorough investigation of three unattended packages and determined that all three packages were non-threatening and contained clothes only. The station was deemed safe and reopened for normal operations.

The supervisor estimated the cost of replacing the copper wire to be $5,000. No suspect information.

Robbery (Strong Arm) – Suspect Outstanding

Transit Services Bureau (TSB) Deputies responded to Florence Ave and Graham Ave, in the city of Los Angeles, regarding a robbery report call for service. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted a female adult (victim) who stated while riding the bus with her friend; they were approached by a male adult (suspect) from behind who forcefully took her three gold chains from around her neck. The suspect exited the bus at Florence Ave and Graham Ave and ran eastbound on Florence Ave and out of view. Deputies searched the area for the suspect but met with negative results. The suspect is still outstanding.
